Nepenthes *singalana* is a tropical pitcher plant endemic to the island of Sumatra. It is closely related to *N. diatas* and *N. spathulata*.

Distribution & habitat
This species is endemic to the island of Sumatra. It is found growing at high altitudes, specifically between 2,000 and 2,900 meters above sea level.
History & etymology
The species name *singalana* is derived after Mount Singgalang, located in West Sumatra. Its taxonomic placement was analyzed in 2001 by Charles Clarke, who conducted a cladistic analysis of Nepenthes species from Sumatra and Peninsular Malaysia.
