Description
Formerly called Nepenthes ampullaria x fusca, this cross has now been renamed as Nepenthes ampullaria x zakriana (Aug 2023) after the revision of the Nepenthes fusca complex into Nepenthes zakriana and Nepenthes dactylifera. It’s currently available as two very different-looking and carefully selected clones, with the other clone being offered under BE-4570.It’s a fast, easy grower and being a lowland-highland cross, it’s tolerant of a wide variety of temperatures.Last returned:June 2025History:First introduced as seed-grown plants in April 2017 under BE-3687 and then this item as assorted clones in Aug 2021.Origin:Horticultural, bred by Borneo Exotics. The female parent is the superb cultivar of N. robcantleyi, called Nepenthes ‘Queen of Hearts’, which has been exhibited worldwide many times.
