Description

The three species that make up this hybrid all have strong, distinctive characteristics – the wide peristome of N. veitchii, the flared pitcher form of N. lowii and the vigour and rich patterning of N. spectabilis. All the clones we have raised so far are showing a combination of these characteristics, as can be seen from the photos and videos here.  As hoped, the flared characteristics of N. lowii are becoming fully apparent, especially in the upper pitchers.Last returned:Sept 2025History:First introduced in Oct 2009.Origin:Horticultural, bred by Borneo Exotics.Source:A random selection from a large number of different clones.Photo notes:Photos are of representative clones and may not be identical to plants shipped. The last photos in the series show plants of typical sale sizes in order of size S, M & L (when available).Climate:Highland. We grow it between about 26 deg. C (80 deg. F) in the daytime, down to 12 deg. C (54 deg. F) at night, although it will certainly tolerate temperatures well outside of this range.
