A medium-sized, perennial carnivorous epiphyte, *Utricularia endresii* is endemic to Central and northwestern South America. It was originally described by Ludwig Reichenbach in 1874.

History & etymology
Described by Ludwig Reichenbach in 1874. The species is named in honor of A. R. Endres, who collected the first specimens sent to Reichenbach.
