A very small, probably perennial, rheophytic carnivorous plant, *Utricularia determannii* is endemic to Suriname, found specifically on bare granite rocks in dripping water.

Distribution & habitat
Endemic to Suriname, specifically the Wilhelmina Mountains, at altitudes up to 900 m (2,953 ft).
History & etymology
Originally described and published by Peter Taylor in 1986, the species was named in honor of the American collector R. O. Determann.
Conservation
Assessed as Data Deficient (DD) on the IUCN Red List.
