A distinctive tropical pitcher plant, *Nepenthes limiana* is notable for its narrowly oblanceolate to almost linear, slightly decurrent laminae and the proportionally wider, bulbous peristome on its lower pitchers, features that distinguish it from closely related species.

Morphology
The species features upper pitchers that are narrowly cylindrical with an infundibular base and a pitcher hip on the lower part. Lower pitchers have narrowly oblanceolate to almost linear laminae that are slightly decurrent, and a proportionally wider, bulbous peristome that is often slightly flared and crenellated. The lower lid surface has a dense indumentum of filamentous hairs, which are 2 mm or less in length.
Distribution & habitat
Endemic to the northern Titiwangsa Range in Peninsular Malaysia, specifically documented from ten peaks in the Malaysian states of Perak and Kelantan. Its known elevation range is between 800 meters and 2,171 meters.
History & etymology
The species is named in honor of Gideon Lim Li Qian, a Malaysian Nepenthes conservationist who organized expeditions leading to the revision of the N. macfarlanei group.
