Description
New introduction for July 2025!
This Sumatran species is an easy grower in either intermediate or highland conditions as its natural habitat spans an enormous altitudinal range, between about 600m (2,000 ft) up to nearly 2,900m (9,800 ft). It generally prefers low light conditions to avoid burning of leaves. This is one of two different forms of the species introduced at the same time, but chosen for their contrasting appearances. This is a tall form of the species, and the other form under BE-4688 has slightly different colouration and much more squat pitchers. Both are currently available from any of our distributors at the time of launch (July 2025).History:First introduced in July 2025.Origin:Horticultural, bred by Borneo Exotics.Source:From a single carefully selected clone.Photo notes:Plants shipped are of the same clone as shown in these photos. The last photos in the series show plants of typical sale sizes in order of size S, M & L (when available).Climate:This is an intermediate – highland item, which means it will grow in a very wide range of temperatures. We grow it in both our lowland and highland facilities, between about 26 – 32 deg. C (80 – 90 deg. F) in the daytime, down to a minimum of 12 deg. C (54 deg. F) at night, although it may even tolerate temperatures outside this range.
