Returning for Jan 2026 after nearly 2 years!
The scientific name of this cultivar isNepenthes spathulata x spectabilis.An exceptional cultivar named in 2011 for Dame Helen Mirren at one of
our gold-medal winning RHS Chelsea Flower Shows. It took eleven more years to
multiply up in our lab and was only released for the first time in June 2022. An
easy grower, chosen from amongst many candidate clones for it’s exceptionally wide
peristome.History: First

Horticultural, bred by Borneo ExoticsThe female parent is our finest
selected clone ofNepenthes spathulata,
with wide purple peristome and green pitcher body, sold under BE-3175, and the
male parent is the incomparable giant form ofNepenthes spectabilis, selected from those sold under BE-3178. This
clone was selected from plants out of the same grex as the assorted clones sold
under BE-3314, although this particular clone was always separated and is not

Climate:'Highland'. We grow it between about 26 deg. C (80 deg. F) in the daytime, down to 12 deg. C (54 deg. F) at night, although it will certainly tolerate temperatures well outside this range.
