As the photos and videos hereshow, this item is exceptionally lovely, combining the red-striped peristome and speckled pitcher body ofNepenthes spectabiliswith the pink-hued gradation and wide fringed wings ofNepenthes‘Viking’. Hybrids don’t always take on the best characteristics of both parent species, but this one certainly does!History:First introduced in May 2022.Origin:Horticultural, bred by Borneo Exotics. The female parent is a selected clone of the superbly spectacular giant form ofNepenthes. spectabilis, sold under BE-3178, and the male parent is a selected seed-raised individual ofNepenthes‘Viking’.Source:A random selection from a huge number of different clones out of microprop.Photo notes:The nursery shots shown here are of the same clone as plants shipped. We have tested it from 12 - 32 deg. C (54 - 90 deg. F), although it will tolerate temperatures outside this range.
