Description

This splendid cross has amazing peristomes which go through various shades of yellow and red before darkening to a gorgeous deep burgundy. They generally remain flared and hardly roll back at all, as can be seen in the videos here. The widely spaced peristome ribs of N. robcantleyi are also very evident. Altogether an outstanding item, and as it’s rarely available in our portfolio, there are relatively few examples in cultivation.Last returned:Sept 2025.History:First introduced in Nov 2019.Origin:Horticultural, bred by Borneo Exotics. The female parent is the superb cultivar of N. robcantleyi called Nepenthes ‘Queen of Hearts’, which has been exhibited world-wide many times. The male parent is a seed-grown N. ovata. We then isolated our clone #11 for this item, chosen from amongst many for its vigour as well as rich colouration.Source:From a single carefully selected clone.Photo notes:Plants shipped are of the same clone as shown in these photos. The last photos in the series show plants of typical sale sizes in order of size S, M & L (when available).Climate:Highland. We grow it between about 26 deg. C (80 deg. F) in the daytime, down to 12 deg. C (54 deg. F) at night, although it will certainly tolerate temperatures well outside this range.
