Description

This highly distinctive species was named in honour of the late Art Vogel, former Curator of Leiden Botanic Gardens and a great enthusiast of carnivorous plants. The lower pitchers extremely long and tubular with the upper pitchers being uniquely shaped, almost like an old-style light bulb.Last returned:August 2025History:First introduced in 2013.Origin:HorticulturalSource:A single selected clone, chosen for its exceptional vigour from out of 24 candidate clones.Photo notes:Plants shipped are of the same clone as shown in these photos. The last photos in the series show plants of typical sale sizes in order of size S, M & L (when available).Climate:Highland. We grow it between about 26 deg. C (80 deg. F) in the daytime, down to 12 deg. C (54 deg. F) at night, although it will tolerate temperatures outside this range.
