Morphology
The upper pitcher wings are reduced to ribs or are not apparent, and the lid appendage is reduced to a keel. The upper pitcher wings of *N. sumagaya* are occasionally present near the peristome, having 1-2 nerves on either side of the midrib, and the lid appendage is occasionally present.
Distribution & habitat
Endemic to the Pantaron Range on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines, growing at elevations of 1,000–1,020 m above sea level.
History & etymology
The specific epithet malimumuensis denotes that the species was discovered from Mt. Malimumu.
